Learn How to Improve your Credit for FREE

Get your summer started off right by learning how to improve your financial situation through the HUD-approved credit counselors at National Affordable Housing Network (NAHN). This is a no-cost program that will give you the tools to improve your credit score and reduce your debt. Our credit counseling program does not pretend to be a quick fix or an easy process, it may involve big changes in your spending habits. However, if you continue to work with our counselors and put in the effort you will see an improvement in your financial situation.

Our wonderful credit counselors are HUD certified to provide: pre-purchase counseling, first time homebuyers counseling, and post-purchase counseling and foreclosure prevention. The goals of housing credit counseling are to help individuals and families develop a workable budget, repair and/or build their credit, and move toward mortgage readiness. This is done by taking a thorough look at all debt and working to better manage debt and the use of credit. Credit counseling is not to be confused with debt settlement or credit repair; credit counseling is an educational service, however we can assist you with debt settlement.  In this program, credit counselors will help you understand your financial situation, your credit report, your credit score, and how that score relates to your credit worthiness. This program gives the applicant the tools to fix their financial problems, but it does require work on your part and potential lifestyle changes to achieve an improved credit score and overall financial situation.
