Now is the time for action if you are behind on mortgage or rental payments. The eviction moratorium on these kinds of payments is expected to end on June 30th, 2021. NAHN is equipped to help prepare you for the end of this moratorium and keep you in your home. We do not have funds available to help pay off missed payments, but our credit counselors are able to help facilitate a dialogue between you and your lender or landlord to work out a solution that will allow you to stay in your home. The best part is that these services are offered at no-cost to you.
If you wait until your home is in foreclosure we may not be able to help, but if you reach out to us before then we will use every tool that we have available to keep you in your home. This is an extremely time-sensitive matter! As soon as the federal moratorium is lifted, eviction processes can begin unless there is an agreement for repayment between the landlord or lender and you. The sooner you apply for assistance, the more likely it is that we can help keep you in your home.
